 The
High
Institute of Human Sciences of
Tunis was founded by a Decree 1999-559 dated
March 8, 1999.
The
Institute has nine (9) departments:
 
Department of Psychology
Department of Sociology
Department of Philosophy
Department of Arabic
Department of English
Department of French
Department of Applied Languages
Department of Ancient Languages and
Civilizations
Department of Translation
 The
Institute confers Maîtrise degrees in each of
the above disciplines.
Master programs are offered
in the
following areas :
- Hermeneutics and History of Systems
- Anthropology
- French : Discourse Analysis
- Enterprise Sociology
Specialized
Master programs are offered in the following areas :
-Women's Studies
-Educational Psychology
In
2006-2007 , the number of
enrolled students was 3976.
Students
are involved in many extracurricular
activities (cultural, artistic
and sports) .
